Valentino Spring 2016- Shop the looks off the runway and shop for less options

It’s a new year and that means it’s time to get excited about all the new fashion trends heading our way!

In general, we will be seeing fashion make a move toward a softer look with mixing of patterns, prints and colors, bringing back pastels in particular.  Not to worry my edgy goddesses, my favorite picks may be feminine, but there is still a strength to these pieces that lend themselves to the modernity of today’s woman.

Valentino Spring 2016

This gorgeous gown has a classic cut, flattering to almost all body types, with a whimsical pattern.  The floral pattern takes me back to a place of childhood nostalgia, while the burnout texture of the tulle is unmistakably sexy.

Spring 2016 Valentino

Calling all Coachella loves!  Here we see the  embroidered floral look translated to a fun ready to wear ensemble perfect for the chill vibes of a music festival.  Notice that the shorts are high waisted enough to cover the belly button.  This is critical to pulling off the midriff look.

Spring 2016 Valentino

Everyone knows I love a great jumpsuit.  Keep it casual and run errands in a minimally styled jump suit; throw a jacket on for the office, or style it with heals and a statement necklace for an outdoor wedding.

Valentino 2016

This fun fit and flare number is flattering to most.  The key to this look is a well fitting bodice.  If you’re sensitive about your arms, throw on a tailored a jacket.  The flare of the skirt hides the hips under the guise of the shapely dress, while the added volume also creates a nice curve to the waist.

Valentino 2016

The mixture of texture within this gown is stunning.  There is a flirtiness to the feathers and pattern, while the cutouts are quite striking.

Valentino Spring 2016

This flowy gown is feminine in texture, and yet fiercely contours the female shape in a subtle way.
