It should look like a fine powder when you are done. Almost like a loose powder that you would purchase. If it’s not fine enough, the final product will be lumpy and it won’t apply to your makeup brush well.

Pour some alcohol into the powder and use your finger to smooth the surface over as best you can. I used the brush area so I didn’t over flow the powder area.

This is the final product after drying- and after kitty. It’s not perfect, but it isn’t a lost cause either. The more time you take breaking up the larger pieces and smoothing out the surface after adding alcohol, the better your outcome will be.

Hopefully this life hack rescues your day the next time you drop a compact.
