Last year, I took my first art class.  I was never interested in art when I was in school, so I literally had no training.  Nevertheless, it’s a necessary skill for fashion design.  I’ve been working hard through my second class and although I still feel like a beginner, I feel like I’m improving.

It’s never too late to learn a new skill.  Take a look at some of my latest work.  (Majority of them were finished in 20 minutes).

It’s difficult for me to get a drawing on the page in 20 minutes, but I’m getting better at foreshortening (the feet actually look like they are facing you).

This one isn’t finished, but I have no idea what to do with it when it is done.

I can’t seem to blend acrylic paints because they dry so fast, so I just embrace the raw look of it. Maybe next I’ll try oil paints.

I did this one today. She’s not finished, but she came out a little creepy.
