Kora Rae and Asilio Outfit Post

textures are a great way to step out of the norm and change up your attire.Kora Rae and Asilio Outfit Inspo

I’m wearing all white and I fierce and modern in this chic head to toe monotone ensemble that mixes texture for an element of interest.

I also own this outfit in black.  I know, I’m a creature of habit, but when you feel good, you know and you should go with it.

When I ordered the ‘Lorena’ top in black, it was my first Kora Rae purchase and I had never seen or felt the garments to know if they were worth the investment, so I just started with the one black top.  I was stunned at how great the top felt.  The leather trim around the neck, hem and sleeves is very supple and healthy.  The mesh is double layered and feels really interesting when you apply pressure, it’s a bouncy, spoungy feeling.  The uniqueness alone makes me fee tough and inspired, but the garment is also very well made.  Having sewn for the last 12 years, I can recognize good construction.  Even the zipper pull at the shoulder has a feature where it snaps down in place, so it won’t stand up and be visible or slide around sloppily.  I was left with no choice but to order the top in multiple colors.

The new Kora Rae collection is coming soon, so you can check here on your own, otherwise, I’m sure I will be bringing you my fav looks when the new collection is up.

let’s talk about those Asilio pants!

Kora Rae Top and Asilio Pant

I came across the Asilio ‘On the Run’ Pant in black at a local boutique and I ended up handing them off to another customer that was interested in them.  I had major shopper’s remorse, so I searched and found them online.  I loved the outfit so much in black, seen here, that I had to get the same pants to go with the white ‘Lorena’ top.  My husband also wanted me to get them a size down (pictured), for what I guess are obvious reasons.  Shop the pants in white.

The high waist on the pant is the best for lengthening my short legs.  I’d get the most leverage out of the leg lengthening trick if I went with a nude shoe or a shoe that matched pant color, but I love these new Vince choked up ‘Claire’ d’Orsay pumps and I always like a little bit of contrast.   Black and white is never wrong in my big book of fashion.
